Got on the bike for a 3 1/2 hour ride this weekend. Typically this is a very productive time for me, not only in ideation, but in practicing how to memorize a long list of items in sequence. (Because there’s no room for a notepad in the spandex 🙂

Stop.

Exercise = productivity.

Even if you use this time to let your physicality take over and completely zero out your mind, exercise can be productive time. Every day.

My imagination starts to open up at about 30 minutes. That’s typically the amount of time it takes to get warmed up, get comfortable with gears, cadence and breathing, and get to an area where there’s less traffic. Once I can put all that behind me, the ideas start to flow.

This week’s blog posts will all come from this ride.

What are you doing to spin out the ideas?
