Despite the pop and sizzle of graphics, video, and everything designers (and their clients) will throw at you, copywriting remains the single most influential asset a company has.


Search engines.

When a person searches for something online, he or she uses a few words to find the thing using a search engine (Google, etc.), and wait for the search results.

The search results have no graphics. No video. No music.

The company / advertiser / supplier has to convince the seeker to click / visit / buy using words alone.

All hail the copywriter!

Ergo, companies: hire all the designers you need, but scrimp on copywriters at your peril.
